The Research of Towel Fabrics Performance on Different Yarn Structure
不同紗結構毛巾織物的性能研究

In this research, the untwisted yarn, doubled yarn and single yarn as a sample, were subjected on saturated water absorption test, wicking rate test, drying rate test and tensile strength test, and measure the twist and diameter of each sample. Further, analysis of the relationship between twist diameter, hygroscopicity and strength. The four samples were express as A (Ne16 untwisted yarn), B (Ne16 doubled yarn), C (Ne16 single yarn), D (Ne8 doubled yarn), in order to explore the effects of different organizational structures or different counts on moisture absorption and strength. It found that water absorption test simple A have the best performance. The water absorption is 742.68% in average, and the wicking rate test to sample A is also the best, The height of wicking rate test, way of the warp is 10.6cm in 10 minutes , and the height wicking rate test, way of the weft is 9.7cm. Test of drying rate, the simple D was the best, the residual moisture content was 85.65%when 40th minute, and the tensile strength test to sample D was also the best, The strength of the warp direction is 20.400kgf, 31.442kgf after water saturation, and 27.192kgf in the weft direction and 35.775kgf after water saturation.
本研究針對無撚紗、雙股紗及單股紗分別進行飽和吸水試驗、蕊吸試驗、乾燥速率試驗以及強力試驗,並測量各試樣的撚度及外觀直徑,進一步分析撚度直徑對吸濕性及強力之間的關係,實驗使用皆為純棉的A(Ne16無撚紗)、B(Ne16雙股紗)、C(Ne16單股紗)、D(Ne8雙股紗)四種布樣進行比較,分別以改變單一變數進行探討不同組織結構或不同支數對於吸濕及強力的影響。由實驗數據得知,飽水試驗以布樣A的平均吸水率最為佳,其平均吸水率達742.68%,而蕊吸試驗也以布樣A為最佳,其10分鐘經向蕊吸高度達10.6公分,緯向蕊吸達9.7公分,乾燥速率則以布樣D為最佳,第40分鐘的殘餘水分率為85.65%,而強力試驗也以布樣D為最佳,經向乾燥時的強度達20.400kgf,飽水後達31.442kgf;而緯向乾燥強力為27.192kgf,飽水後達35.775kgf。
